Once you are admitted, you must finish your enrolment as soon as possible. Take the following steps to complete your enrolment.

You will receive a confirmation from HKU that you are officially enrolled once these steps are completed.

1 - Necessary documents

Often HKU needs documents to verify your prior education and/or your identity. If additional documents are needed, you will receive a message from HKU. Check your email regularly. Also check your spam folder.

2 - Arrange payment

Go to and fill out your digital payment authorisation before September 1. Don't forget to confirm your authorisation.

Proof of enrolment

After HKU Academic and Student Affairs has processed your enrolment, you will receive a proof of enrolment and student ID card. If you have not received anything by the end of September, contact HKU Service Desk Student Affairs immediately.

Please note - if you have not submitted a passport sized photo, you will not receive an ID card.

No enrolment?

If you decide not to enrol for the next academic year, please withdraw your request for enrolment in Studielink before 1 September. If you have already completed your enrolment you need to cancel your enrolment.
